Question: What is require air filters for AHU,MAU,PAU MERV14
For Buildings, there should be 2 layer primary and secondary filters layer in AHU,PAU/MAU and they should be installed accordingly with min MERV6 and MERV14 filters which proper manufacturers will have >90%@1-3um particles (similiar PM2.5). Primary filters are still required as they remove big particles to prevent overloading/choke the secondary filters causing airchange to drop. If you already have, it will be fine till PSI PM2.5/PM10 excced 350-400
If you do not have, Secondary filters like Minipleat filters, ES13 IF ,ES14 pleated pleated can be installed.

Question: What other action plans can do? There is smell Carbon filters
There may still be smell due to vapour gases which cannot entirely removed and can be carried into through lobbies, open areas windows doors, fresh air fan intake without filtration.
1. Carbon pleated can be used /interchangeable with the primary filters 24x24x2”/12x24x2”
They are effective against both particle and light-medium odour control.

2. ZKGCarbon rolls can be used as prefilter cover in AHU and Fresh air to control the PM2.5 particles and odour control. It may affect airchange and or reduce the fresh air intake contaminants which usually positive outcome.

Question: Just to check do you have filters in Roll instead of Panel Pleated or Boxes (repeat FAQ 2023 06 08)
Filters in roll media are limited technical fundamental with MERV2 to MERV7 except MERV8 Carbon Rolls MERV10 ES65M (disposable higher efficiency but high pressure drop at lower flow only,shorter lifespan)
Only ES13 IF , C90 2in thickness and other secondary filters with MERV13,14 which are constructed in pleated panel boxes or bag with high media area will be effective for haze particles. They will be able replaceable for most existing fans or aircon commercial systems without affecting airflow.

Most mistaken Industrial commercial absolute HEPA filters to marketing terms used in air purifiers which run at low air volume and test based on room removal efficiency or media eff. Typically for ASHRAE tests for use in ACMV or air filters velocities are MERV14/15 or SemiHEPA Merv16. Only Vcell MERV16 will not affect all industrial AHU as it runs far lower pressure drop than tradtional secondary pocket filters. The filter has high inital cost is 6-8times higher but will get very long lifespan and operational savings which can be higher than filter cost.
